Mens A team off to a flyer!

The Mens A team got to a great start by beating Hallamshire "C" 7-2 at Ridgeway.  Geoff and James Haigh had the honour of winning the first rubber of the season as they beat the third couple by 6-2, 6-1. They then lost to the first couple by 4-6, 2-6 before beating the seconds by 6-2, 6-4.  Glyn Rudge and Nick Johnson beat the seconds 6-0, 6-2 before beating the thirds by 6-1, 6-2 and just lost to the firsts by 4-6, 3-6.  Mick Mason and Liam Rudge won all three - beating the first by 6-1, 4-6 and winning a champions tie-break by 10-5 before going on to beat the seconds by 6-0, 6-1 and the thirds by a similar score.  The team travel to Welbeck next week.
