Midweek Mixed news

The Midweek Mixed team have had a tough time in Division 2 in the last couple of weeks.  Last week the team played at Abbeydale Park and lost 4-0 to a team that included Josh Gledden, who has won the S & D Open Singles championship for the last two years.  Nick Johnson and Julie Pycock lost 0-6, 1-6 to the firsts and by 1-6, 0-6 to the seconds.  Mick Walker and Chris Dacey fared a liittle better, losing 3-6, 3-6 to the seconds before 0-6, 0-6 against the firsts.

In this week's match, at home against Bradfield, the team lost 0-4 again.  Mick Mason and Judy Davis lost 0-6, 1-6 to the first and by 0-6, 3-6 to the seconds.  Greg and Chrissie Majchrzak made their debuts in mixed tennis and, despite trying their best, lost 0-6 in each set they played.

The team has a break next week as it is Bank Holiday week and there are no league matches.
