Men's "A" team clinch safety

Needing a win to confirm their Division 1 status for next season, the Men's A team cruised to a 4-0 win against rivals Bradfield.  Both teams had just two wins before today and, depending on results elsewhere, the match could have meant relegation.  The team soon put any thoughts of relegation behind them and the result was never in doubt.  Liam Rudge and Mick Mason dropped just one game all afternoon as they beat the firsts by 6-0, 6-1 and then the seconds by 6-0, 6-0.  Glyn Rudge and Nick Johnson won comfortably too.  They beat the seconds by 6-1, 6-1 before beating the firsts by 6-3, 6-3.

Final match score: Rubbers 4-0, Sets 8-0, Games 48-9.

Lokk out for news on the "B" team.  They needed to win at champions Brentwood "A" to guarantee survival in Div 1.
