Summer season matches now finished

Saturday the 13th saw the completion of the 2008 matches.  The Mens A team finished bottom and have got relegated from Div 4 of the Men's League, the B team finished bottom of Div 6 and the Mixed Doubles team finished bottom and have got relegated from Div 2 of the Midweek Mixed League.  The teams fared better in the Men's Late Summer League - the A team finishing third or fourth (results still to come in) but the B team provided the most positive story in winning promotion from Div 2 and regaining their place in Div 1 in 2009.

Thanks to all the players who have taken part in the matches and represented the club over the season.  If people have given of their best and still lost then you can't ask for more.  Let's look forward to playing/practicing during the autumn and winter and do better next year.
